Offsite manufacturer McAvoy has been reappointed to the NHS Shared Business Services Modular Building Framework for the third consecutive term.
The NHS is using modular buildings to help increase capacity and treat more patients amid growing waiting lists and a lack of clinical space.
The four-year framework facilitates the procurement of modular buildings for public sector clients. McAvoy was awarded six lots encompassing permanent and rental modular solutions.
This includes standard and customised buildings for healthcare, education and wider public sector clients.
NHS Shared Business Services was created in 2004 by the Department of Health and Social Care to deliver corporate services to the NHS.
McAvoy has already delivered projects through the framework over the past eight years.
NHS Shared Business Services said the specification for the framework agreement was developed through consultation with the market and MMC experts.
Stephen Clayton, preconstruction director at McAvoy, said: “Being reappointed to the NHS SBS Framework for a third term is a significant achievement for McAvoy.
“We’re proud to continue supporting the UK public sector with innovative modular solutions that prioritise sustainability, quality and speed of delivery. This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team.”
