The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) has this week responded to the UK government’s call for evidence on a strategy for the built environment professions, trades and occupations, which builds upon the earlier consultation on a single construction regulator.

The feedback received through this call for evidence will help inform the Government’s Professions Strategy, which is expected in spring 2027.

CIOB’s response focused on the role of the client and the challenges, behaviours and influences on decision-making during the construction phase of the building lifecycle.
