Westminster City Council has appointed Willmott Dixon to refurbish the 1930s Grade II-listed Seymour Centre in Marylebone, central London.
The £36m project comprises the restoration of the three-storey building and refurbishment of a swimming pool. It also includes building a new sports hall, an open-plan gym, a coffee shop and a permanent home for the Marylebone Library over two floors.
The upgrade to the five-court sports hall will include new flooring to make it more accessible for wheelchair users. Pool accessibility will be improved with the installation of a pool pod.
