An artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot called ConstructGPT is in development and will be ‘arriving soon’, according to the platform’s landing page.
The chatbot was announced this week in a LinkedIn post from Paul David Munnelly, chief operating officer at construction support services company Munnelly Group.
There is no confirmation that Munnelly or his company are behind the bot.
Munnelly claims in the post that ContructGPT will be the “first platform of its kind to revolutionise UK construction through AI”. However, LinkedIn users commenting on his post raised questions about how the chatbot will work or how it will train its algorithms.
Currently, the website’s landing page only includes a privacy policy and does not provide information about the chatbot itself.
There has been great interest recently in ChatGPT, a natural language processing AI tool that is trained to provide detailed answers to questions and enable human-like conversations. The chatbot is a variant of the popular language model generative pre-trained transformer (GPT).
CM spoke to construction experts earlier in the year to understand how ChatGPT could be used in the industry.
A US-based services company is behind another chatbot. ConstructGPT – AI Construction Assistant, which claims to use AI and natural language processing to offer its construction clients up-to-date information about the industry.
