A CIOB member has been part of an exemplar trial in sustainability involving delivery.

Ryan Healey, a senior project manager at Structure Tone, took part in a collaboration involving TfL, Southwark Council, Mace and Sir Robert McAlpine to set up strategies to raise construction standards at the Bankside development cluster area.

One initiative investigated alternative deliveries. A two-week trial took place where all three constructors shared a loaned cargo bike for a variety of activities, such as collections from Dulux.

The bike was supplied by Raleigh and rider training by Pedal Me.

A full case study is planned once the trial has been completed.
