EU funds digital product passports pilot project

The pilot aims to demonstrate how DPPs can manage construction product data effectively. This will include specific use cases, highlighting the benefits of DPPs for both made-to-order and made-to-stock products. QR codes will link physical products with their DPPs. Furthermore, a standardised data model will be established to ensure semantic interoperability and efficient data sharing.

The project will focus on the sector’s digitalisation and sustainability, aligning with the revised Construction Products Regulation and the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation. Additionally, the pilot will encompass non-regulatory information critical to the industry, such as sustainability certifications (BREEAM and DGNB). All DPP information will reference common open industry standards. The entire set-up of the data model will be organised within a data dictionary.

Cobuilder’s consortium partners include GS1 France, waterproofing and insulation manufacturer Soprema, and windows, blinds and shutters supplier Velux.
