Balfour Beatty has appointed Lord Allen as its new chairman and a non-executive director, taking over from Philip Aiken.
Charles Allen, whose title is Lord Allen of Kensington, has previously served as chair of ISS, executive chair of EMI Music, chief executive of ITC, chief executive of caterer Compass Group, and chief adviser to the British Home Office.
He currently holds positions as advisory chairman of investment bank Moelis & Company and chairman of Global Media and Entertainment.
