Amey and ISG top list of fastest-paying contractors

Construction contractors have once again cut the average amount of time they are taking to pay suppliers, with Amey and ISG topping the list.

New data on construction payment performance from Build UK showed that Amey took an average of 14 days to pay, just ahead of ISG on 15 days.

All of the top 10 contractors in the list took fewer than 30 days to pay on average.

The slowest-paying contractors were BAM Nuttall at an average of 41 days, and Engie at 42 days.

The average time contractors took to pay their invoices was 30.2 days.
