Anglia Water has used a remote-controlled compactor to repair a sinkhole in the Norfolk town of Sheringham.
The sinkhole appeared in Sheringham High Street following the collapse of a sewer and damaged water mains in May this year.
The company has been carrying out pipework repairs, which is expected to be completed by 18 August. The hole will backfilled by 26 August and then the site handed back to the local highways department for resurfacing.
Our remote-controlled compactor is currently in action as repairs to the collapsed sewer and water mains in Sheringham High Street continue.
Thank you to all the businesses for their co-operation and patience while we have been completing the work.👍 pic.twitter.com/Q56egZ8QIu
