Kier has appointed Alexandra Smith as national frameworks director for its construction business, as long-serving executive Deane Hudson prepares to retire after 39 years.

Smith joined the organisation two years ago as senior business development manager for its London & Thames Valley business, responsible for overseeing the public sector pipeline and liaising with clients, consultants and delivery partners.
In her new role, she will lead the contractor’s national frameworks strategy, a key part of its operating model. The company said these arrangements continue to provide greater certainty on cost, programme and delivery outcomes.
