The Labour government has confirmed the CE mark will continue to be available for construction products placed in the UK market beyond the 30 June 2025 set by the previous administration.

The CLC says the industry is ready to act on the construction product testing review, but has emphasised the need for government action.

The chair of the Levelling Up, Housing and Communities Committee, Clive Betts, has written to housing minister Lee Rowley asking for “clarity on the timeline” for the long-awaited government’s response to the construction products testing review.
