The High Court has refused an application by a director to remain in post after being disqualified by the CMA for his role in an illegal demolition cartel.

Another demolition director disqualified following an investigation into anti-competitive practice by the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has been given leave to continue to act as a director subject to a series of conditions.

The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has accused 10 construction firms of illegally engaging in bid rigging on demolition and asbestos removal contracts.
