Sir Robert McAlpine has adopted the AI technology platform Buildots as a preferred partner.
Buildots will automatically analyse data from Sir Robert McAlpine sites across the UK, captured by hardhat-mounted 360-degree cameras. Using AI and computer vision, true-to-life project progress reports are generated to identify risks of delays and opportunities for productivity gains. This in turn provides project managers with more control, outcome certainty, and facilitates shorter project delivery times, Buildots claims.
Sir Robert McAlpine has already used the technology on a number of sites, including the new BEACH Building project at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital. The project, where Sir Robert McAlpine is in a joint venture with Vinci Construction UK, is on the Best Use of Data on a Project shortlist at the Digital Construction Awards.
