Offsite specialist Project Etopia has bought self-build firm Tribus Homes and its Devon manufacturing facility.
The two firms have already been working in partnership under the E-Tribus banner, and Tribus Homes manufactures properties using the same structural insulated panels (SIPs) employed by Project Etopia.
Tribus is capable of building 200 modular homes a year from its manufacturing facility outside Tiverton and Project Etopia hopes it can provide a model for setting up smaller manufacturing facilities around the country to support its 2,000-home-a-year factory in Ellesmere Port.
