Morgan Sindall Infrastructure has announced its new partnership with University Technical College (UTC) Heathrow – signing up to sponsor the school as a lead partner alongside existing partners Heathrow Airport Ltd and Brunel University.
The company, which is a CIOB Training Partnership (TP), is currently working at Heathrow to upgrade key elements of the airport’s infrastructure including taxiways, landside roads and car parks.
The partnership with UTC Heathrow is at the heart of Morgan Sindall Infrastructure’s strategy to provide opportunities for young people to enhance their skills and development in local communities.
The company will work in partnership with UTC Heathrow to help run a variety of programmes to provide students with real project-based learning experiences and personal development skills essential for employment pathways.
It will also include funding for the provision of essential equipment and resources, offer work experience placements as well as contributing employees’ time in school for mentoring and practical project learning.

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure’s commitment to social responsibility is accompanied by a commitment to addressing the technical skills shortage that the industry is facing.
This is the second UTC that the company has partnered with, following its successful relationship as an established platinum partner and trust board member with Energy Coast UTC in Workington, Cumbria.
Energy Coast UTC achieved an Outstanding Ofsted report this year with the principal citing the company’s involvement as a major factor in its achievement.
