Simon Gorski
Lendlease has made Simon Gorski its new managing director for construction in Europe, including the UK.
Gorski joined Lendlease as a commercial manager in 2004 and has most recently served as executive general manager, UK regions.
While working as head of the regional business, he helped secure the contract to repair, refurbish and restore the Grade-one-listed Manchester Town Hall. He also won Lendlease the role of sole partner with Scape on the National Construction Framework for Principal Works, delivering large-scale construction projects above £50m for the public sector.
He began his career as a quantity surveyor and then attended the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst ahead of a decade of service in the British Army. He delivered defence programmes including the regional prime contract for the South West, and Project SLAM – a contract to provide 23,000 of the Ministry of Defence’s bedrooms for single personnel.
Gorski, said: “My focus will be to ensure Lendlease remains a leader in the construction sector and continues to provide an exceptional service to our customers. We already have some of the finest talent in the industry working at Lendlease, and I have absolutely no doubt that we will continue to deliver great schemes and win new business.”
He takes over from Neil Martin who was recently promoted to the role of chief operating officer for Lendlease in Europe.
