Kier has appointed Liam Cummins as the new group managing director of Kier Construction, replacing Peter Young who is leaving the business.
Cummins has spent the past 16 years with Laing O’Rourke, most recently leading its UK building division.
He started his career at Serco after graduating as a quantity surveyor at Kingston University before being appointed as managing director of the asset services business at John Mowlem and joining Laing O’Rourke in 2004. He has spent time as a director leading businesses in both Australia and the Middle East as well as his current UK focused role.
Andrew Davies, Kier chief executive said: “I’d like to welcome Liam to the group. He brings with him extensive experience across the UK construction landscape and I look forward to him working with our senior management teams to drive growth and nurture the long-term client relationships and excellent customer service that our construction business offers.”
