Olivier Brousse, the chief executive of UK infrastructure firm John Laing Group has resigned in order to join French water engineering company Veolia Group in a senior position.
Brousse will remain as chief executive of John Laing over the next few months to aid the transition process when a suitable replacement is found.
Brousse said: “John Laing is a great company with a fantastic team of people throughout the business, making my decision to leave all the more difficult.
“They bring the experience, commitment and innovation required to deliver infrastructure solutions that drive society forward and are well placed to take advantage of the opportunities ahead.”
Will Samuel, John Laing’s chairman, said: “On behalf of the board, I would like to express our sincere thanks to Olivier for his valuable contribution to the board and the company, particularly in delivering the successful IPO and his leadership in evolving the group’s geographic footprint and the diversification of the portfolio.
