A healthy buildings monitoring and reporting service is being developed to help building owners comply with a forthcoming standard on indoor environments.
The new service, W-360, is a partnership between building services consultancy EFT Consult and building data aggregator Metrikus and is dedicated to monitoring and improving indoor environments.
W-360 sensors (with LoRa, 5G & wifi connectivity) measure a building’s Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) levels and report to a customisable dashboard on the condition of air quality parameters – such as particulate matter, CO2 and other pollutants – lighting levels, thermal comfort (including temperature and humidity) and soundscape. All of these factors can negatively affect human health and well-being, W-360 said.
