Then jump on the Banksy bandwagon and turn your site’s hoardings into a new canvas for street art. Devloper First Base, contractor Mansell and Southern Housing Group decided on an unorthodox way to mark the start of construction on the £29m Highbury Gardens scheme in north London, which will provide 119 flats with 62 funded by the Homes and Communities Agency.
Graffiti artist Graffitikings was commissioned to create this mural featuring caricatures of some of project team: Dale Meredith (development director, Southern Housing Group), Elliot Lipton (managing director, First Base), David Lunts (London regional director, HCA) and Ed Morgan (managing director, London special projects, Mansell).

… posting an acorn?
An unexpected gift was delivered to the CM offices last month – a single acorn in a bag. Was a shy squirrel trying to declare its affection on Valentine’s Day?
Actually, it was the symbol of a new campaign by the Woodland Trust designed to encourage construction companies to consider planting new woodland areas to mitigate their carbon emissions.
The charity says planting trees helps firms meet their carbon offset targets, while creating valuable wildlife habitats, aiding flood alleviation, and creating native woodland for people of all ages to enjoy. Panic over…
