The Insolvency Service has published online advice for ISG’s employees, suppliers and contractors affected by the company’s fallout.
Eight companies that are part of the ISG group entered administration on 20 September. Around 2,200 workers were made redundant and operations stopped with immediate effect across all of the contractor’s projects.
ISG employees who were dismissed may be entitled to statutory redundancy pay, arrears of pay, compensatory notice pay and holiday pay from the Insolvency Service.
Workers and self-employed contractors who provided services to the ISG companies are not eligible to apply. Instead, the Insolvency Service advises these individuals to contact the administrator, EY, to register as creditors.
ISG’s suppliers who owe money should also register as creditors.
Creditors are those who have not been paid for goods or services supplied to the ISG companies in administration, or those who have paid them for goods or services not received.
