Forterra has become the latest materials firm to announce that it will fire up its kilns and restart brick production after a temporary halt in production.
Since it closed most of its manufacturing sites last month, the company has been planning alternative working practices that it said would enable manufacturing to restart while allowing staff to socially distance.
One of its brick plants will reopen this week with production of its hollowcore product at Bison Precast in Swadlincote also restarting.
