A Ferrovial Construction worker died last week after an accident involving a passenger bus outside Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 4.

The accident happened in the early hours of 13 June, when a man in his early 60s was involved in the collision. He was taken to hospital in critical condition but died two days after.

The bus was not transporting passengers when it was involved in the collision, according to the police.

The Metropolitan Police said in a statement that the man’s next of kin had been informed and were being supported by specialist officers. Enquiries continue and no arrests have been made, it added.

Ferrovial said in a statement: “It is with great sadness that we can confirm that a Ferrovial Construction employee working at Heathrow Airport has died following a road traffic collision that took place on the morning of 13th June.

“We are working with Heathrow to fully understand the circumstances behind the collision and are supporting our colleague’s family at this very sad time.”
