CIOB president Paul Gandy has become board adviser at Acumine, the business intelligence and data analytics consultancy.
Acumine works with tier 1 contractors, including Kier, McLaren, Wates, Willmott Dixon, Sir Robert McAlpine and Tilbury Douglas (of which Gandy was chief executive for five years), and mid-tier contractors and consultants.
Gandy will work closely with the Acumine board to support strategic direction, strengthen external relationships, and champion the role of data in improving outcomes across the construction industry.
Daniel Maddocks, co-founder and director of Acumine, said: “We are delighted to welcome Paul as our board adviser. His perspective, experience, and commitment to advancing productivity and professional practice in the industry will help us drive forward with confidence.
“Paul shares our belief that effective use of data is essential to meeting the challenges facing the built environment today, and his involvement will be invaluable as we continue to grow our products and offering.”
Gandy added: “I am passionate about planning and productivity in our industry and believe that data-driven management and control are key to delivering better outcomes. Acumine’s vision to embed intelligence into the way projects are planned and delivered is both timely and essential. I look forward to working with the board and supporting their efforts to drive meaningful change across the sector.”
Gandy recently highlighted the key role of project data in CM.
