Midlands building consultancy The Construction Consultants (TCC) has strengthened its respected health and safety team with the appointment of a CIOB member as new associate director.
Richard Hardwick (pictured) joins Birmingham-based TCC with more than 25 years in health and safety consultancy. He was previously an associate director at Tetra Tech Europe.
Before that, he held senior health and safety roles at Faithful and Gould and the WT Parker Group. He is experienced in working on complex and challenging construction projects across a wide range of sectors.
TCC co-founder and director Alex Pimley said Hardwick would be a significant asset to the business because of his wide range of experience.
“He is able to provide practical and cost-effective advice on a range of health and safety issues. He is also able to deliver clear and pragmatic advice that supports compliance, reduces risk and promotes a safety ethos,” he said.
Hardwick said: “I am looking forward to contributing to the delivery of successful TCC projects and taking on the opportunities this new role will offer.”
New project manager
Meanwhile, TCC has taken on Sirius Lee as a project manager. He joins TCC from SOGO in Hong Kong, where he was a project manager. Before that, he was an associate director at Aegis Solutions in Hong Kong. He holds an MSc from the University of Hong Kong.
In further appointments, Ayushi Singh has been appointed as a graduate project manager. Her background is in architecture, having worked as a freelance architect in India and for Indian companies involved in large-scale construction projects. She has an MSc in advanced engineering management from the University of Birmingham.
In addition, Charlie O’Grady has been appointed as a quantity surveyor at TCC. He has worked as a QS at several Midlands firms and has a BSc in quantity surveying from the University of Wolverhampton.
Headquartered in Bennett’s Hill, TCC is a multidisciplinary consultancy providing specialist project management, quantity surveying, employer’s agent, building surveying and health and safety services to a range of sectors.
