    errrm, NO !

    The dodgy air quality modelling carried out as part of the previous third runway consultation assumed that continued improvement of vehicle engines would release “headroom” to allow more aircraft emissions with an expanded runway. In practice, the assumed improvements in NO2 haven’t happened.

    The air quality from the current two runway Heathrow airport is illegal. BAA and the government have yet to propose a credible surface accees strategy that will address this – let alone allow for expansion.
