Chartered building company Henry Brothers has been awarded Platinum status, the highest accolade, in Business in the Community Northern Ireland’s (BiTC NI) Environmental Benchmarking Survey.

This benchmarks companies that drive change by integrating sustainable practices into corporate strategies.

Ian Henry, CSR director at Henry Brothers, was Silver winner of BiTC NI’s George Dawson Award. This award celebrates individuals who champion sustainability.

The firm also won the GB & Republic of Ireland Construction Project of the Year Over £2.5m category at the 2022 Construction Employers Federation Excellence Awards. It was for a day nursery and forest school at Staffordshire University.

Ian Taylor, MD of Henry Brothers Midlands, said: “We are pleased to have received industry recognition for our first carbon-neutral project. It represents a significant milestone in our strategy to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2050.”
