AI-powered construction specialist Buildots has bought workforce and safety management platform Genda.

Buildots’ aim is to unify construction delivery on a single platform and provide accurate insights into progress, pace, and risk of delay. The acquisition of Genda will allow it to improve workforce insights.

The purchase has been funded by S3 Ventures, TenOneTen, ICI funds and Jibe Ventures.

Co-founder and CEO of Buildots, Roy Danon, said: “When contractors use Buildots to spot delay risks and create mitigation plans, they naturally want to know which levers worked.

“Our goal is to make this crystal clear. No one has yet achieved a full understanding of construction productivity, so by bringing Genda’s data into our platform, Buildots is once again breaking new ground.”

Danon said the purchase will facilitate full visibility into the relationship between labour, progress and productivity.

It will also establish whether delay mitigation efforts make significant change, as well as provide progress and workforce insights to inform future planning and improvements.

Genda’s CEO and founder, Erez Dror, will continue to oversee operations from its Austin, US, base. Dror said the move will strengthen Genda’s workforce and safety management products and existing clients will benefit.
