Five things I’ve learned about digital twins

Dean Douglas, a researcher at BIM Academy, shared the fruits of his PhD research into digital twins. He said: “We need to be looking at how we incorporate data scientists, computer programmers, data analysts and app developers into the industry’s workforce.”

Beware of BIM certification

Certification has its role to play, but beware the commercialisation of it. That was the warning from David Shepherd, the House of Commons project BIM leader. He said: “The ensuing efforts to monetise certification have turned standards compliance into a feeding frenzy of commercialism.”
