Scottish contractor Robertson has released a video telling the story of the construction of whisky brand Macallan’s new £140m distillery in Speyside.
The distillery, on the Easter Elchies estate, has been designed by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners and features an undulating timber roof, described as one of the most complex of its kind in the world, comprising almost 380,000 unique indvidual components.
The video features Robertson executive chairman William Robertson as well as the client, Macallan brand owner Edrington, Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, and various figures involved in the complex building’s construction.
