A US firm has raised the bar in housebuilding several notches, claiming to have built a 3D printed home with its Autonomous Robotic Construction System (ARCS) in New York.
S-Squared 4D Commercial, a division of S-Squared 3D Printers, developed ARCS, a patent pending 3D printing system, which allows several robotic concrete 3D printing machines to work simultaneously.
The largest house so far, at 46.5 sq m, has been built in a recent demonstration, in under 12 hours, the company said.
