The war in Ukraine and sanctions on Russia and Belarus will hit the supply of wood products used in construction, including OSB (oriented strand board) and plywood.

Architect Foster + Partners and consultant Turner & Townsend have become the latest UK built environment firms to halt work on projects in Russia.

It is still too early to tell what effect sanctions against Russia will have on building materials.
