Construction companies have been warned about using guidance generated by artificial intelligence (AI) to comply with lifting and work equipment regulations.

Under Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER) regulations, a mobile elevating work platform (MEWP) should undergo a ‘thorough examination’ at least every six months to ensure that equipment is not faulty and doesn’t pose a risk to staff.
