A group of major housebuilders has committed to a new sector-wide delivery plan to meet climate, nature and wider environmental targets set by government.

The prices for construction products and materials have risen by 10-15% as demand remains “far in excess of supply”.

Housebuilder Barratt has set aside another £30m to tackle the cost of reviewing and fixing cladding and external wall systems on buildings it has constructed.
