Dr Melanie Robinson was named Digital Construction Champion of the Year at the Digital Construction Awards 2025.

The ‘Virtual Campus’ experience created by students at Ulster University was acclaimed by the judges, who handed the project the Digital Innovation in Asset Management award, sponsored by Digital Construction Week, at the Digital Construction Awards last night (2 July). 

3D renders of 2D smartphone videos, wearable proximity sensors and concrete strength sensors feature on Time Magazine’s annual best inventions list.

The Digital Construction Summit will now go ahead on 1-10 November. Originally scheduled for 13-15 September, the key event for digital decision-makers in the built environment had to be rescheduled due to the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
