The Crossrail project has finally reached partial completion with the opening of the Elizabeth Line in London today (24 May).

Crossrail did not have sufficiently effective commercial levels with its main contractors to prevent more cost and schedule increases, despite trying several initiatives.

Tottenham Court Road Crossrail station, constructed by Laing O’Rourke, has become the third station on the project to be handed over to Transport for London.

Laing O’Rourke is sufficiently close to completing construction of Tottenham Court Road Crossrail station in London for final commissioning activities to start, three years after the Elizabeth Line was originally due to open.
