HS2 engineers have launched a 130m-long steel bridge over the Grand Union Canal, allowing a 1.5-mile section of the canal to be reopened to the public seven days ahead of schedule.

HS2’s tunnel excavation between London’s Old Oak Common and the West Midlands has been completed, marking a significant milestone for the project.

The HS2 project is welcoming West Midlands university students onto a paid placement programme during the summer holidays.
