Fitout firm Styles & Wood and its non-trading parent company Extentia Group have both entered administration, with the loss of more than 200 jobs.
Administrators from EY were called in on 28 February to oversee the companies, with Styles & Wood suffering severe cashflow problems after “significant losses” over the past 12 months.
Extentia Group bought Styles & Wood in 2018 and while the fitout contractor is in administration, other businesses within the group continue to trade normally.
Of Extentia Group’s other operations, business change management firm Mobias, risk management software company Arctick, and property estate management business iSite are also in administration.
Environment specialists Keysource, building services design consultants GDM, interior design consultancy SpaceInvader, facilities management company Concourse FM, Spatial Initiative (formed from Styles & Wood and ESS Modular), furniture and equipment firm Southerns Broadstock, and furniture company Ralph Capper are all unaffected.
