The event continues is tradition of featuring a strong line-up with 10 different free-to-attend theatres covering everything from BIM to GIS, skills & training to business transformation, connected cities to DfMA and much more.
To celebrate its launch DCW is partnering with the Construction Innovation Hub on a new free-to-attend theatre. The Construction Innovation Hub theatre will focus on transforming construction through manufacturing technologies and digital ways of working.

The Construction Innovation Hub brings together world-class expertise from the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC), Building Research Establishment (BRE) and the Centre for Digital Built Britain (CDBB) to transform the UK construction industry.
Launched in November 2018, the Hub is funded through a £72m from UK Research & Innovation’s Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund and aims to change the way buildings and infrastructure are designed, manufactured, integrated and connected within our built environment.

Sessions to watch out for at the Hub theatre include a fireside chat with Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE) CEO Hannah Vickers; and programme director for the Construction Innovation Hub, Keith Waller. They’ll be discussing key findings from the Construction Leadership Council’s work on “Procuring for Value”, showcasing the detailed research led by ACE on value-based business models and launching an exciting new collaboration to progress the value agenda.
Nicola Pearson, head of change & knowledge transfer at CDBB will look at how CDBB and the Construction Innovation Hub aim to support and deliver an International BIM Programme. While David Philp (pictured top), CDBB change consultant and former head of BIM for the UK BIM Task Group, will be sharing how CDBB and the Construction Innovation Hub are working with BSI and the UK BIM Alliance to support and deliver the UK BIM Framework.
Mark Ireland from the MTC will also be sharing insights into where robotics are being developed specifically to meet the challenges of the construction and infrastructure sector and also what technology is already available to be deployed in his session: Terminator or HAL – What does the future look like for robotics in construction?
