Skanska is marking Breast Cancer Awareness Month by rolling out pink hard hats on site.

The initiative is part of the Wear It Pink campaign by charity Breast Cancer Now, which aims to raise funds and awareness of the disease.

For Skanska, this initiative began at Royal Derby Hospital, where colleagues delivering on-site facilities management services joined the campaign after seeing first hand the real-life impact of cancer.

A spokesperson said: “Working with suppliers, these bespoke hard hats were ordered to help raise awareness across our projects nationally, which helps to spark conversations and encourage fundraising.

“This initiative coincides with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a global event throughout October dedicated to increasing education and awareness about breast cancer.”
