Roofing and scaffolding set for exoskeleton trials

The CSIC is preparing for construction trials of two different exoskeletons, which will be measured using GOS’s ARAMIS SRX system (centre)

Construction Scotland Innovation Centre (CSIC) has installed advanced measuring equipment for upcoming exoskeletons field trials.

CSIS has set up a plasterboard bay, as well as a timber roofing gig at its Innovation Factory in Scotland, to simulate lifting and laying of roof tiles. Other construction tasks to be replicated include: plasterboarding, lifting and fixing floorboards, and scaffolding.

Trials are part of the Exskallerate project, which is providing small to medium businesses the opportunity to experience, test and feedback exoskeleton tech.
