Laing O’Rourke is on schedule with the construction of a new stadium for Everton FC at Bramley-Moore Dock.

Last year, Laing O’Rourke displaced water in the dock with more than 480,000 cu m of sand dredged from the Irish Sea to create a bed on which the £500m stadium can be built.

That led to piling work and the construction of the foundations, with work on the superstructure scheduled to begin this spring and summer.

Laing O’Rourke has manufactured many of the concrete columns and walls for the stadium offsite in its precast factory.
