NHS Shared Business Services Ltd (NHS SBS) has published a preliminary market engagement notice for a new iteration of its public sector construction consultancy framework.
The £2.3bn framework is expected to start in August 2027 and run until July 2029, with the possibility of an extension to 2031.
The proposed lots in the preliminary market engagement notice include:
• Lot 1: Architectural services
• Lot 2: Project management
• Lot 3: Civil and structural engineering
• Lot 4: Quantity surveyor
• Lot 5: Mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) services
• Lot 6: Principal designer services
• Lot 7: Multidisciplinary services
• Lot 8: Building surveyors
• Lot 9: Healthcare planning
• Lot 10: Net Zero, environmental consultancy and sustainability
• Lot 11: Ancillary services
The framework will be put in place under the Procurement Act 2023.
NHS SBS – a joint venture between the Department of Health and Sopra Steria – said that “significant weighting” will be given to suppliers committed to sustainability and social value within the procurement process.
Companies interested in participating in the preliminary market engagement should complete this questionnaire by 30 July 2025.
