  1. Interesting, however the British invented a bricklaying machine in 1967 !! So why has it taken so long for it to be “re-invented” ?
The British one was fantastic, but as usual it takes a foreign company to use our ideas !

  2. What they don’t tell you is it cant build corners – needs 2 men in constant attendance- I’d like to see that head down arse up in footings!!!

  3. Well said Rob, fully agree with you there, there’s no flexibility in the process at all, i.e. cuts corners and windows, plus I’m sure that there will be need for a substantial level foundation for it to be set up, and a highly skilled and trained programmer and like seen in the film an operative to finish off the pointing.
In my opinion its a good idea in principle but a bit of a waste of an investment to be honest.

  4. The only way this robot could construct any building and remain economically viable would be for the building to be designed for the sole purpose of letting the masonry be carried out by this machine, the inventor would be better off inventing a self cleaning portable loo.

  5. Well if the Yanks can’t lay quicker than that machine they should give up.Also with the standard of scaffolding we work on it would never be possible.
