Contractor Morgan Sindall has launched a new “job swap” scheme with London-based architects to give workers a better understanding of each profession’s approach to a construction project.
The scheme gives graduates and employees a week’s work experience at their counterpart’s organisation to get a greater understanding of the roles, responsibilities and processes each company undertakes in the delivery of projects.
During his week working at LSI Architects, Luke Green, a graduate design manager at Morgan Sindall, was given an insight into the concept design stage in order to become more familiar with the early stages of a project, prior to contractor involvement.
