A man has died after falling at a building site in Greenwich, south-east London.
London Ambulance Service were called yesterday afternoon to reports of a person falling at the River Gardens Bellway building site at Christchurch Road.
Air Ambulance, fire and rescue, and police all attended the site but the man, aged in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A Met police spokesman told the London Evening Standard: “Police were called at around 17:25 on 11 July to a seriously injured man on a construction site in Christchurch Way, SE10.
“Police officers are investigating alongside the Health and Safety Executive.”
A police spokesman said the force was called to reports of a “seriously injured man on a construction site”.
The final phase of the River Gardens site contains 252 apartments across five blocks of up to 11 storeys.
