Jason Millett
Mace has made a series of appointments and promotions as it reorganises its consultancy arm, following its wider corporate restructure announced in September last year.
Jason Millett was promoted to chief executive of consultancy as part of that reorganisation. He will be supported by two managing directors: Davendra Dabasia as managing director for international, and Daniel Easthope as managing director for property UK and Europe.
A number of other new promotions and appointments have been made to leadership of Mace’s sector-specific consultancy teams and a new team of service-line leads.
The new service line leadership includes Zoe Madams, the new lead for PMO services, Isabel McAlister for responsible business, Steve Mason, who leads cost consultancy, Mike Shaw the lead for technical services and David Rumsey, who will run project and programme management.
The newly appointed sector and regional leadership includes Caroline Lassen, Mace’s new director of public sector, Colin Harvey, director of UK Regions, Sean Gray, director of rail and highways, Andy Sharples, who leads the newly combined energy, utilities and defence business; and Carl Dainter who has been appointed to lead a new global aviation business.
Mace has seen its overall consultancy revenue grow by 25% over the past two years and the restructure now brings together the two strands of Mace’s consultancy business – property and infrastructure –under a single leadership team for the first time.
The business also works internationally on projects like the construction of the tallest skyscraper in Vietnam, the delivery of the Lima 2019 Pan-American Games. Promotions in the international leadership team include a regional director role for Nick Brand and in Sub-Saharan Africa for Simon Herd.
Millett said: “Our consultancy business has grown from strength to strength over the last five years, and we are now delivering some of the world’s most complex and high-profile projects and programmes. Our work is crucial in delivering infrastructure, homes and workplaces across the globe; unlocking growth and shaping cities. My aim is to build the sector’s most responsible and inclusive consultancy – and with our new leadership team now in place, we are in the perfect position to realise our ambitious global growth strategy; while continuing to innovate on behalf of our clients and deliver an exceptional service.”
