Heathrow has appointed Kier’s FM arm, Kier Places, to install noise insulation measures in about 20,000 homes around the airport’s residential areas.
The residential insulation scheme is part of Heathrow’s Quieter Neighbourhood Support eight-year programme to reduce the noise impact generated by aircraft traffic.
The scheme, fully funded by Heathrow subject to eligibility, covers the supply and installation of replacement windows, secondary glazing and doors, new ventilation, loft insulation and ceiling upgrades.
Kier will also deliver two other schemes as part of the quieter neighbourhood support project. These include a Quieter Schools Programme to improve noise insulation and ventilation support to local schools, and a Vortex Impact and Prevention Scheme to repair vortex strikes and provide protection for homes in high-impact areas.

This sounds great, where I am in Isleworth the vortex has damaged our roof and and I can’t sleep with the noise of the planes, how do we find out if we meet the criteria?
Hi James, you can find more information about the scheme here: https://www.heathrow.com/company/local-community/noise/what-you-can-do/apply-for-help
