Rebecca Boundy MCIOB has joined Kier’s construction business leadership team after being promoted to managing director for clients and markets.

Boundy has worked for more than a decade at Kier, starting as a senior bid manager and progressing to senior roles, including head of bid management and public sector director.

While at the strategic projects business, she led the preconstruction of HMP Five Well, a project shortlisted for Digital Innovation in Asset Management at the Digital Construction Awards 2024.

Before joining Kier, Boundy worked for Galliford Try and local authorities as a project manager.

In her new role, Boundy will lead a team of expert sector directors, including education, healthcare, defence and justice. She will also oversee the construction business’s strategic bidding capability.

Strengthening core markets

Kier said Boundy’s promotion supports its plans across core markets.

The contractor has already secured major awards in 2025, including a £684m contract to build HMP Glasgow, a new £123m teaching and learning building for the University of Southampton, and a position on Pagabo’s £814m facilities management framework to provide a series of services to public sector organisations.

Stuart Togwell, group managing director for Kier Construction, said: “Rebecca has oversight of the needs of our strategic clients and how we address those needs in our approach, bringing us ever closer to communities and end users.

“Working at Kier for 10 years, Rebecca has a proven track record of delivering industry-leading projects and, with a focus on innovation, digitalisation and client collaboration, it’s a critical role to deliver on our ambitious plans.”

Boundy said: “I’m thrilled to be taking on this new role and the opportunity it provides to drive Kier Construction’s strategic delivery across the public and private sectors.

“As a strategic supplier to government, Kier is well positioned to support the ambitions set out in the 10 Year Infrastructure Strategy and, in my new role, my team and I will be working closely with clients to support their goals and ambitions over this period.”
