A joint venture between Vistry and Kier’s development arm has bought a parcel of land at Holme Meadows in South Wokingham, where they plan to deliver 343 new mixed-tenure homes.
The initial phase of the project will involve the construction of 343 homes on a serviced parcel of land, with the possibility of building 298 additional units across future phases.
A decision on the reserved matters planning application is currently under consideration. If approved, construction is expected to start later this year.
The project is part of Wokingham Borough Council’s plan to build over 1,400 new homes in South Wokingham alongside infrastructure, green spaces and community amenities.
Trevor Wicks, managing director at Vistry Thames Valley, said: “This acquisition marks a pivotal step in our partnership with Kier Property, who share our ambition to bring this significant development to life with high-quality, mixed-tenure homes.”
Leigh Thomas, group managing director at Kier Property, said: “We’re proud to be moving forward with this important development within our key strategic partnership with Vistry. South Wokingham is our third scheme with Vistry and is a key location that offers a unique chance to deliver a thriving, well-connected and sustainable community that complements the overarching masterplan.”
